‘’Nature is the most vibrant classroom, and animals are children's innate companions.‘’

Zoo Trek Quest

All children from the international classes participated in this outing. The teachers carefully designed differentiated activities tailored to each age group’s developmental characteristics and cognitive abilities.

K1 children's cognitive development remains in its early stages, primarily demonstrated through hands-on sensory experiences and concrete, action-based thinking patterns.

At the zoo, animals' bright colors and lively movements grab children's attention. By noticing unique features like hippos and white tigers, kids learn about different animals. Getting close to these creatures helps them feel life's magic, growing their love for animals and early empathy.

The zoo's animals and habitats let kids explore nature up close. By watching animal traits like fur and scales, children learn how creatures adapt to their homes. This builds observation, thinking, and creativity skills. Group activities teach sharing ideas and teamwork, boosting social growth.

K2 children are at a critical stage of cognitive development, demonstrating heightened curiosity and an expanding drive to explore their environment.

k3 children have already acquired a foundational knowledge base and cognitive abilities, demonstrating deeper curiosity and a stronger need to explore and understand the world.

During zoo-based walking lessons, educators can implement more challenging learning activities. For instance:
- Conduct animal censuses to compare population distributions
- Investigate habitat characteristics and species adaptations
- Classify animals as herbivores, carnivores, or omnivores through direct observation

Through hands-on inquiry involving field observations, data collection, and comparative analysis, children develop a concrete understanding of ecosystem balance and biodiversity conservation. This process systematically cultivates scientific reasoning, investigative skills, and observational acuity.

Creative Extension:
Encourage artistic documentation through drawings, crafts, and field journals. This multimodal approach enhances expressive capabilities and creative thinking while reinforcing STEM learning outcomes.

During the activity, teachers will fully leverage their roles as guides and supporters, closely monitoring each child's learning needs and developmental progress. They will provide timely encouragement and guidance to ensure every student receives appropriate support.

We firmly believe that through this zoo-based exploratory program, children will not only acquire a wealth of knowledge and practical skills, but also achieve holistic development in emotional growth, attitudinal development, and value formation.

Choo-Choo Safari

As the little train chugged along, the children were thrilled to spot more wild animals:

- Our K1 toddlers couldn't contain their excitement, shouting, "It's a tiger! It's a lion!"
- The K2 explorers, guided by their teachers, described animal features using key vocabulary: "feather, fur, skin, scales..."
- The K3 mathematicians practiced counting: "One, two, three..."—and even started adding up the animals they saw!
Then, as a herd of deer came into view, the children spontaneously burst into song: " Doe, a deer, a female deer. Ray..."blending nature exploration with musical joy.
The kindergarten zoo excursion transcends mere "playtime"—it constitutes a multidimensional learning experience integrating cognitive, emotional, social, and skill development. Serving as a gateway to authentic world exploration, this program facilitates organic learning through nature immersion, laying crucial foundations for children's holistic growth through embodied environmental education.
