At the end of December 2023, Wuhan Jingkai Foreign Language School held a grand English Festival for the junior middle school. Teachers and students gathered together to experience the charm of the English language. 

2023年12月底，武汉经开外国语学校初中部英语节隆重举行。经外师生欢聚一堂，共同感受英语的魅力。

The English Festival was divided into four chapters, allowing us to revisit this wonderful time.

本次英语节共分为四个篇章，让我们来重温一下这段美好的时光。

In this exhibition area, we have divided it into several sections: the "Around the World" poster area, the "Eloquent Brush" calligraphy zone, the exciting student  activities zone, and the teacher research and development zone. In the center of the exhibition area, we showcase various exquisite artifacts related to students' hands-on activities and adventures around the world.

素质成果的展示分为以下几个板块：环游世界海报区、妙笔生花书法区、精彩学生活动区和教师教研区。而在这几块的中间，呈现给我们的是学生们动手操作、有关环游世界的各类精美摆件。

Here, the posters will take you around the world and give you a glimpse of the customs and people in different countries. These are the footprints of our students exploring the world. The exquisite English calligraphy works embody their love for the language and showcase the elegance and flexibility of written language. 

在这里，一幅幅小报将带您“环游世界”，领略不同国家的风土人情——这些是经外学子探索世界的足迹。一篇篇精美的英文书法作品，浓缩的是他们对英语的热爱，呈现的是语言文字飘逸灵动的美感。

The bright smiles are real portrayals of students blooming in various English activities, and records of the growth of our teachers under the true  education philosophy of JKFLS.

一张张灿烂的笑容，是学生们在丰富多彩的英语活动中绽放自我的真实写照，是老师们在经外真教育理念下体验成长快乐的幸福掠影。

Look, volunteers from the seventh and eighth grade exhibition area are enthusiastically explaining the stories behind each artwork to everyone, sharing their joyful learning journey at Wuhan Jingkai Foreign Language School.

看，七八年级的展区志愿者们，正在热情地向大家讲解着这里每一件作品的故事，分享着他们在经外的快乐学习之旅。

The warmth of human connection is like the earthly fragrance,  especially comforting to young  learners. What could be more heartwarming than, amidst the intensity of studies, preparing a bowl of lotus root soup or a string of grilled meat with one's own hands? Perhaps, it's crafting homemade cotton candy!

人间烟火气，最抚学子心。一碗碗藕汤、一串串烤肉，于紧张的学习之余，更能暖人身心。而自己动手制作的棉花糖，更是一直甜润到心房深处。

During the "Food Festival," the children acted as "chefs," actively participating and selling their creations. Each flavor represents the adolescents' understanding and expression of youth; behind every dish, one can see their hands-on skills and the spirit of teamwork within the class.

“美食节”上，孩子们纷纷化身“大厨”，自己动手操作并售卖。每一种味道，都是少年们对青春的理解与表达；每一道美食的背后，都体现了孩子们动手操作的能力和班级团队合作的精神。

The Dream Market is a feast for  the soul, with each class's booth brimming with creativity. There are various handmade crafts, intellectual games, hand-drawn anime works, and even top-notch student notes. The array of offerings is dazzling, overwhelming the senses. Behind each booth lies a unique story and dream.

梦想集市更是一场心灵的盛宴，每个班的摊位都充满创意，有孩子们动手制作的各类手工艺品、智力游戏、手绘动漫作品等等，甚至还有学霸笔记。琳琅满目，让人目不暇接。每一个摊位背后，都有一个独特的故事和梦想。

Here, you can find those small items that touch your heart, as well as the courage to forge ahead. In this space, students from JKFLS have adorned the winter campus with unique creativity, offering parents and teachers a heartfelt experience.

在这里，你可以找到那些能触动你内心的小物件，也可以找到那份勇往直前的力量。在这里，经外学子以独特的创意装点了冬日的校园，也为家长和师生奉上了满满心意。

Behind old books and toys are lively childhood stories. The circulation of these items builds new friendships, bringing friends' minds closer. Time sings like a song, echoing the beautiful melodies in our hearts forever.

旧书和玩具的背后是一个个鲜活的童年故事，流通中更建立起崭新的友谊，拉近了朋友间心灵的距离。岁月如歌，那些美好的旋律永远在我们的心中回荡。

英语“家年华”节目精彩片段

Culture has a long history in the interpretation of youth, and youth, spurred by the call of the times, is eager to explore. The magnificence of nations shines brightly on the world stage, and the enchantment of fairy tales crystallizes into wisdom and courage during the journey of growing up.

文化在青春的演绎中源远流长，青春在时代的召唤下熠熠生辉。民族的风采在世界的视野中大放异彩，童话的魅力在成长中凝成睿智和勇气结晶。

The seventh-grade English drama "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" allowed us to relive the enchanting magical world, and the energetic music made the audience in the auditorium can't help but move to the rhythm.

The entertaining voice dubbing performance of "Beauty and the Beast" by the seventh-graders  showcased the students' charming spoken language skills and exceptional talent for imitation. It once again demonstrated the  students' passion for Western culture, creating brilliant moments at the intersection of Eastern and Western classics.

七年级组的趣配音《美女与野兽》让我们看到了孩子们雄厚的口语功底和极高的模仿天赋，也再一次展示了学生们在中西文化的交汇中，碰撞出精彩的火花。

The eighth-grade group's "Model United Nations Conference" was an exceptionally enlightening and educationally meaningful experience. The activity simulated a real United Nations conference setting, providing students with the opportunity to portray representatives from different countries and engage in debates and voting on global issues. The students' fluent speech and impressive diplomatic personas  made it feel as if one were in the actual United Nations hall.

八年级组的《模拟联合国会议展演》更是一场极具启发性和教育意义的体验。活动模拟了真实的联合国会议场景，让学生们有机会扮演各国代表，就全球性的议题进行辩论和表决。孩子们流利的口语，帅气的外交官形象，让真实的联合国大厅尽展眼前。

An access to the world and the future, the students of JKFLS are continuously moving forward toward this goal on this fertile ground.

从这里走向世界和未来，经外的学子们正在这片沃土上不断地朝着这个目标前进。

The entire event venue was filled with an incredibly warm atmosphere, and the children were immersed in the ocean of joy.
